A Student Project That Turned Into Something Bigger
We’re four students from Melbourne Business School. Between flights, classes and constant movement, we couldn’t find a bag that truly worked for our lifestyle — so we made one.
What started as a uni project is now NOLDRA: a brand built for modern travellers, students, and creatives who live fast and pack smart.
We didn’t create this bag for show — we built it because we needed it. And now, it’s yours too.

June 2023
The Frustration Begins
While juggling uni between Singapore and Australia, David and Ken keep running into the same issue: their bags just don’t cut it. Bulky, disorganised, uncomfortable – nothing fits their fast-paced, mobile lifestyle.
August 2023
Team NOLDRA is Born
Back home for the break, they pitch the idea to Mei Ling and Lina, two close friends with the same struggle. The four of them team up with one goal: create the ultimate travel bag – compact, smart, and built for people on the move.
February 2024
The First Prototypes Hit the Road
After months of sketches and supplier calls, the first test bags are ready. Each founder puts them through real-life use: airport runs, uni days, overnight trips. It's a good start, but the bag still needs fine-tuning.
May 2024
User Testing & Real Feedback
The team runs a private test with 30 international students. Their feedback leads to big improvements: smarter compartments, better straps, and a cleaner look. Mei finalises the brand name – NOLDRA – inspired by clean movement and quiet strength.
August 2024
Pre-orders Go Live
The website launches. Ken builds a slick, fast platform, and Mei rolls out the first campaign on socials. The first customers are digital nomads, students, creatives and remote workers – all tired of compromise.
November 2024
NOLDRA Takes Off
Over 500 bags shipped across 7 countries. Reviews are in: customers love the function, the feel, and the story. NOLDRA isn’t just a bag – it’s the one thing they now pack first.
March 2025
Launch of NOLDRA V2
Following months of user insights and design upgrades, the team unveils NOLDRA V2 – a more refined, high-performance version of the original. Enhanced materials, hidden compartments, upgraded hardware, and a sharper design. Built for modern travellers who demand both function and style. The first batch sells out within days.

At NOLDRA, we know that every journey leaves a trace — and we believe it’s our responsibility to make that trace as light as possible. That’s why we’ve built our products and our process around long-term sustainability.
When your bag has reached the end of its life, you can send it back to us. Through our recycling partners, we’ll break it down and give its materials a second life — instead of sending them to landfill.
We also offset 100% of our carbon emissions and constantly look for smarter, cleaner ways to operate. Because for us, creating a bag isn’t just about convenience or design. It’s about building gear that respects both your lifestyle — and the planet.
